The County of Kent, England,
is known as 'The Garden of England', renowned for its fertile soil,
producing an abundance of fruit, hops, vegetables
and cereals, also for being the gateway to the continent through the
ports of Dover, Ramsgate, Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel rail
links. Welcome to our site based here in the county town Maidstone,
with the river Medway running through the center, dividing the
population of the county into "Kentish Men", to the west
and "Men of Kent", to the East. 'Gardenserve.com' intend to
provide a site that is of interest not only to gardeners, but to
those of you who wish to visit gardens, historic buildings, such as
Leeds and Dover Castles, Canterbury Cathedral
and the many quaint villages,
towns and cities here in the Southeastern corner of the United
Kingdom. This area includes, in the main, the counties of Kent,
Surrey, Sussex, plus London.
